Yesterday at Today

For those of you who know me well, I kind of like the Today Show and I kind of watch it almost everyday.  Because of this, my daughter kind of has a love for Matt, Savannah, Natalie and Al and has asked to see them since we found out we'd be in NYC.  So, yesterday I kind of obliged.  Lucky for us, Todd's office if right next to Rockefeller Center so we just rode the subway into work with him and checked out the show.  Let me say, it's pretty cool, but not all it's cracked up to be.    First you have to go into these corrals and I'm guessing if you want to be in the front you have to get there really really early.... which we did not.  Even though the temps are in the 70's everyday, for some reason when you are crammed up against a bunch of other tourists in corrals like these, it's like 95.  So, it was super hot... Hunter wasn't diggin it... the ladies in front of us were bitchy not kind.  And then a girl next to us fainted.  So, we left.  But, before we left we did get to see Al, Savannah, Carson and Peter for a little bit... which was cool.

On our way back to the subway we stopped at this hidden waterfall in the middle of a bunch of buildings.  I found it on a list of 10 Hidden Gems in NYC that a friend sent me.  It was pretty cool.  There was a sign out front that said "This is a little Private Spot for the Public"  It was nicely shaded and had a bunch of little tables for folks to sit and enjoy themselves.  It's not far from Todd's office so we may end up meeting him there to eat lunch one day soon.
More of the little waterfall.

We don't have cable so this is how we watched the USA soccer game during lunch yesterday.  The only place I can find it for free online is through Univision.  So we watched it in spanish and understood nothing they said except GOOOOOOO
OOOOOOO
OOOOAL!  Sadly, they only said this once yesterday and it wasn't for USA.  But, we advance anyway!

I'll try to get some pictures of the apartment up soon!  Todd and I are going to do some rearranging this weekend so that Hunter has less things to ruin fiddle with.
