More new adventures

Hannah on the streets of the downtown area.
Don't ask me what she is doing with her hands.

Yesterday we traveled downtown to a free kids concert in another beautiful park.  (sidebar:  when I say "downtown" it means a section of Manhattan, not the city center.  I know for most of us we refer to the middle of a city as downtown but here that would be Midtown.  Currently we are living uptown so we rode the subway basically all the way to the other side of the city.  Make sense?)

Anywho... a great kids band was playing a live show in the park and I recognized their name from the Sirius radio show that Hannah listens to a lot.  It was very cool and clearly pretty popular.

One really great thing about a lot of the park events that I have found is the security.  At this event they sectioned off a large part of the park and you could only enter if you had a child with you.  They also made everyone park their strollers in the back so that strollers weren't blocking the way for any of the kiddos.
Next time we'll remember to bring a picnic blanket.

Stroller parking lot.
