Here she goes again

I swear Hunter is more excited than he looks.
 I'm gonna really try....

         like really...
to keep this thing updated!

So I could put all of my pictures and posts and observations of the somewhat mundane everyday things I am seeing here in NYC on Facebook for all of my "facebook friends" to see, or I could make those that really care work for it by having to click one more time to go to this blog.  I'm guessing since you are reading this, you are bored one of those few that actually care.. so I'm going to try to keep this thing updated:)

To catch you up (if you don't already know why we are here)... Todd is about to start his 3rd year in Law School at USC (law school lingo is 3L).  For the next 6 weeks he is working at a firm in Midtown Manhattan and we have all temporarily "moved" to the city with him.  We found a tiny quaint place on the upper upper east side (aka Harlem... but not the sketchy part... like borderline Harlem)  While Todd is at his 9 to 5, the kiddos and I will be trying to find fun things to do while spending as little cash as possible.  I am not good at this.  I'll give it a shot.

So here goes nothing.

Day 1 in the city.
Hannah's first ride on the subway.  She is now slightly obsessed.  She really likes the subway.
Hunter's preferred mode of transportation.

Funny story about this picture...  We were walking around Times Square being touristy and Cookie Monster came up to Hannah and starting motioning for me to take a picture.  Because I am an idiot thought it was a good photo op I grabbed my camera (ie my iphone) and just as I was pulling it out to get a picture the other cookie monster, Dora (if that's who she really is) and Woody came darting across the street and jumped in the photo as well.
"Well that's nice of them" I thought... until all four of them starting approaching me with their hands out for a "tip".  No wonder they were all so eager to pose with my child.
